Kids and family life, St Patricks Day

St Patrick’s Day Green Glitter Playdough

Making play dough is cheap, quick and easy and lots of fun! This can be created in any colour just use a different colour of food colouring.

We created ours whilst the littlest napped!

What you will need:

-2 cups of flour

-2 cups of water

-1 cup of salt

-green food colouring

– green glitter

These are ingredients that you are likely to have in your cupboard already so basically a free activity!

It can’t get any easier..

Just combine it all in a saucepan and and stir on a medium heat until it forms a ball shape! Be warned it gets a little tough to stir after a while so you will need to use ur muscles!

If you find it’s too sticky add in some more flour in until you get the right consistency!

Add more food colouring to get the colour you wish, ours was a little on the lighter shade of green.Remove from pan and let cool.

Now it’s time to bring out the tools, we raided the baking cupboard and the playdough box for cutters, rollers, knives and anything else we could find!

Let the fun begin, Alfie played for ages with this, but just check your little one has no wee cuts on their hands, as the salt will sting them! ( speaking from experience)

This keeps great in an air tight container.

Have fun!
